Rev. David M. Leibham
Rev. David M. Leibham
was born on December 14, 1961 in Houston, Texas. There are five in his family; his parents, David and Ann, and his
sisters, Barbara and Mary.
After graduating from
Brenham High School in 1979, he entered Holy Trinity Seminary at the University
of Dallas. In 1983 he enrolled in
graduate studies at the North American College in Rome, Italy, where he
attended the Gregorian University.
Father David was
ordained to the priesthood on July 11, 1987 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in
Brenham. His first assignment was as an
associate pastor at St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco from 1987 to 1990, and he
also taught at Reicher Catholic High School.
After successive
pastorates in Bremond, Giddings, and as the rector of St. Mary’s Cathedral in Austin,
he returned to become the pastor of St. Louis Catholic Church on November 1st
of 2000.
